It shall be unlawful to erect, construct, alter, extend, occupy, use, operate, rent or sell any building or premises subject to applicable affordable housing provisions, or to cause or permit same to be done, in conflict with or in violation of any such provisions. It shall be unlawful to fail to comply with an order of the commissioner or to violate any order of the commissioner issued pursuant to this chapter, or to cause or permit same to be done.
