Ohio Rev. Code § 4141.288: Data matching - death records.

The director of job and family services shall enter into a data matching agreement with the director of health under which the director of health shall allow the director of job and family services to match death records maintained in accordance with section 3705.02 of the Revised Code.

The director of job and family services shall check the death records when determining whether an application for determination of benefit rights or claim for benefits is valid.
