Okla. Stat. tit. 18, § 18-1139: Reservation of Corporate Name

RESERVATION OF CORPORATE NAME

A. The exclusive right to the use of a corporate name, in good

faith, may be reserved by:

1. Any person intending to form a corporation under Title 18 of

the Oklahoma Statutes; or

2. Any corporation organized under the laws of this state

intending to change its name; or

3. Any foreign corporation intending to qualify to transact

business in this state under Title 18 of the Oklahoma Statutes; or

4. Any foreign corporation qualified to transact business in

this state intending to change its name; or

5. Any person intending to organize a foreign corporation and

intending to have such corporation qualified to transact business in

this state under the laws of this state; or

6. Any corporation whose charter has expired or has been

forfeited intending to renew or revive the corporation under Title

18 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

B. Such reservation shall be made by filing in the Office of

the Secretary of State an application to reserve a specified

corporate name. If the Secretary of State finds that such name is

available for corporate use, he shall reserve the same for the

exclusive use of such applicant for a period of sixty (60) days.

C. The right to the exclusive use of a specified corporate name

so reserved may be transferred to any other person by filing in the

Office of the Secretary of State a notice of such transfer, executed

by the person for whom such name was reserved and specifying the

name and address of the transferee.
