Okla. Stat. tit. 47, § 47-254: Purpose of law

It is hereby declared the purpose of this act to provide special

identification for individuals who hold an unrevoked and unexpired

technician class or better license, issued by the Federal

Communication Commission, to operate an amateur radio station in

Oklahoma, in order to encourage such persons to assist in providing

and maintaining a means of communication in emergency areas,

national or local.
