Okla. Stat. tit. 62, § 62-385: Counties of 200,000 to 300,000 - Payment of bonds

notwithstanding running of Statute of Limitations.

In counties having a population of more than two hundred

thousand (200,000) and less than three hundred thousand (300,000)

according to the last Federal Decennial Census of 1950, or any

succeeding Federal Decennial Census, and a net valuation of Two

Hundred Million Dollars ($200,000,000.00) or more, any municipal

corporation, county, township or school district in this state which

has issued or may hereafter issue general obligation bonds which

have or may hereafter become due and payable and against the payment

of which the statute of limitations has or shall have run, may at

its option, authorize the payment of said bonds not withstanding the

fact that the statute of limitations has run and pay said bonds out

of any money on hand in the sinking fund of said municipal

corporation, county, township or school district available for the

payment of such bonds; provided that the governing body of said

municipal corporation, county, township or school district shall, by

resolution duly adopted, authorize said payment.
