Okla. Stat. tit. 67, § 67-91: Adoption of system of recording - Equipment, supplies and

operators - Contracts for recording work.

The board of county commissioners of any county in this state

may by resolution adopt the system of photographic recording for any

or all offices of the respective counties where instruments are

filed which are required to be recorded in books to be kept for that

purpose. Said board of county commissioners in such counties where

such system of recording is adopted may purchase such machines,

equipment, and supplies as may be necessary and proper to do said

work and also employ a competent operator or operators to operate

said machines, the salary of such operator or operators to be fixed

by the board of county commissioners in such amount as they shall

deem advisable. In lieu of the purchase of said machines,

equipment, and supplies by the county, the board of county

commissioners may, if they deem it advisable, contract with some

suitable person or persons, firm, or corporation having proper

machines and equipment therefor to do all recording work required to

be done in any office in their respective counties and fix the

compensation therefor. No contract shall be made wherein the county

shall be required to pay for such work a greater price than sixty

percent (60%) of the total fees charged for such recording, as fixed

by law at the time said contract is entered into. The adoption of

this system by any county prior to the passage of this act, and the

record heretofore made by such system, are hereby validated.
