Tex. Agriculture Code § 13.456: SERVICE COMPANY LICENSE REQUIRED.

(a) Unless the person is exempt from the license requirement, a person may not employ an individual who performs or offers to perform device maintenance activities unless the person holds a service company license issued by the department under this subchapter.

(b) Unless the individual is exempt from the licensing requirement, an individual may not perform or offer to perform device maintenance activities as a sole proprietor unless the individual holds a service technician license and a service company license issued by the department under this subchapter.
