Tex. Occupations Code § 1603.052: DUTIES OF ADVISORY BOARD.

(a) The advisory board shall advise the commission and the department on:

(1) education and curricula for applicants;

(2) the content of examinations;

(3) proposed rules and standards on technical issues related to barbering and cosmetology; and

(4) other issues affecting barbering and cosmetology.

(b) The advisory board shall respond to questions from the commission and the department regarding barbering and cosmetology.
