Tex. Occupations Code § 301.553: CIVIL PENALTY.

Where this section sits in the code

(a) A person who violates Section 301.451 or Section 301.251 is liable to the state for a civil penalty not to exceed $1,000 a day.

(b) The civil penalty may be collected in a suit initiated by the board.
