Tex. Special District Local Laws Code § 1009.054: BALLOT PETITION.

(a) A person who wants to have the person's name printed on the ballot as a candidate for director must file a petition requesting that action.

(b) The petition must be:

(1) signed by at least 10 qualified voters; and

(2) filed at least 25 days before the date of the election.
