Tex. Special District Local Laws Code § 1035.061: RECRUITMENT OF MEDICAL STAFF AND EMPLOYEES.

The board may spend district money to recruit physicians, nurses, or other trained medical personnel. The board may pay the tuition or other costs or expenses of a full-time medical or nursing student who:

(1) is enrolled in and is in good standing at an accredited school, college, or university; and

(2) contractually agrees to become a district employee in return for that assistance.
