Tex. Special District Local Laws Code § 1077.005: PUBLIC PURPOSE; TAX EXEMPTION.

Where this section sits in the code

All property owned by the district:

(1) shall be held for public purposes; and

(2) is exempt from taxation of every character by this state or a political subdivision of this state.
