Tex. Special District Local Laws Code § 1117.153: ELECTION RESULT; EFFECT.

On approval of the annexation by a majority of the voters in the territory proposed to be annexed, the territory:

(1) becomes a part of the district;

(2) is liable for the territory's pro rata share of the district's indebtedness; and

(3) shall impose taxes on property in the district for the payment of the district's debt and obligations.
