The recirculation system, including all pumps, hair and lint catchers, filters, disinfection equipment, and necessary pipe connections to the inlets and outlets, shall be maintained in working order as designed. Adequate provision shall be made for backwashing filters. When not prescribed by the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (13VAC5-63) in effect at the time of the pool's construction, recirculation systems shall be designed for an eight hour or less turnover of the swimming pool water.
